Poem Inspired by Metaphor

In-Class stuffs revisited. Each person in the class chose an item to incorporate: orang-utan, cheese, chocolate, covered bridge, screwdriver, and pencil sharpener.

Orang-utan

The delightful, red-headed ape from the forests of Borneo stretches his arms like hot cheese from one tree to the next, his body forms a covered bridge, the dark chocolate eyes of his companion bore into his in gratitude, as a screwdriver into a bolt.
The search for sustenance proceeds as the bellies of the orang-utans rumble like pencil sharpeners.
